Job description

Precision in the OR, Purpose in Every Procedure - Join an In-Demand Surgical Team in the Heart of Central Texas
There's something powerful about working where precision meets purpose. As a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in one of Texas' fastest-growing healthcare markets, you'll play a vital role in every surgical moment - from pre-op prep to post-op closure. But beyond the sterile field, you'll find a community rooted in connection, innovation, and possibility.
This opportunity is more than just a job - it's a calling. Whether you're a seasoned CST or just beginning your journey in surgical care, your attention to detail, ability to anticipate needs, and desire to make a difference will be celebrated every day. And where better to advance your career than in Central Texas - a region that blends medical excellence with hill country charm?
Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Assisting in surgical procedures by preparing and organizing the operating room
  • Maintaining sterile fields and adhering to infection control protocols
  • Handing instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants
  • Preparing and managing surgical equipment before, during, and after procedures
  • Monitoring supplies and ensuring readiness for each operation
  • Collaborating with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff for seamless care
  • Maintaining accurate surgical counts and documentation
Education Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
Certifications Needed:
  • Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential required
  • BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
Key Skills and Attributes:
  • Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and procedures across multiple specialties
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-pressure environments
  • Ability to prioritize quickly and respond to the needs of the surgical team
  • Strong organizational habits and attention to cleanliness and detail
  • Proficiency in aseptic technique and sterile field maintenance
Why This Role Stands Out:
  • Flexible shifts - days, nights, and weekends available
  • Work alongside a high-performing surgical team across a variety of procedures
  • Continued opportunities for education, training, and clinical ladder advancement
  • Access to modern surgical equipment and cutting-edge technology
  • Supportive leadership that values your expertise and contributions

What It Means to Be a Surgical Tech in Central Texas
Being a Surgical Technologist here means being part of something much bigger than yourself. Every shift, you contribute to moments that change lives - whether it's a routine appendectomy or a complex cardiovascular procedure. And when your scrubs come off and the day ends, you're surrounded by one of the most dynamic regions in the country.
The area blends the spirit of creativity with a deep respect for tradition. Locals enjoy a lifestyle that's equal parts outdoorsy and intellectual - with miles of hike-and-bike trails winding along the river, lively cultural festivals filling the calendar, and food trucks dishing out cuisine that spans continents and generations.
Whether you're savoring smoky brisket from a local pitmaster, catching live music under the stars, or kayaking down the Colorado River at sunset, you'll find something here that fills your soul. And thanks to the region's strong economy, no state income tax, and abundance of innovation in both tech and healthcare, your professional growth is just as promising as your personal life.
A Team That Has Your Back
In surgery, timing is everything. So is trust. You'll join a team that knows how to move in rhythm - anticipating each other's needs, watching out for safety, and celebrating wins both big and small. Whether it's an emergent trauma case or a smooth outpatient procedure, you'll never feel like you're going it alone.
This isn't just about executing tasks. It's about being seen as a critical contributor - someone whose precision, consistency, and care form the backbone of exceptional outcomes.
Ready to Elevate Your Impact?
If you're seeking a place where your skill is respected, your schedule is flexible, and your work truly matters, we want to hear from you.
Apply today and bring your surgical expertise to a team - and a region - that values every detail you bring to the table.
