Job description

Spang & Company has an opening for a Technical Support Analyst at its corporate office in Pittsburgh, PA. This position will act as the primary point of contact for end-user IT support, delivering crucial hardware and software assistance to PC users. Responsibilities include managing administrative tasks related to PC and network support, as well as collaborating closely with other IT team members. Problem-solving may require using diagnostic and help request tracking tools, along with providing in-person, hands-on assistance directly at the user's workstation.
Spang & Company is a diversified manufacturing company. Through the work of three unique product lines, we design, produce, and supply precision soft magnetic components and materials to the electronics industry and custom-engineered solutions to the power industry.
Major responsibilities will include assisting PC users with everyday technical issues, investigating and reporting hardware and software problems, and tracking support requests through a help desk ticketing system. This role supports various client platforms, including Windows workstations, voice and data networks, and mobile or remote access solutions. Additional responsibilities include installing and upgrading PC software, configuring and deploying new hardware and software, developing and maintaining procedures for consistent end-user support, and participating in an after-hours on-call rotation. The position requires travel to domestic locations up to 10%.
An associate's degree in Technology, Business, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience, is required. Experience in a technical position with responsibilities for the support of Windows workstations, basic office software applications, and voice and data networks is preferred. Experience gained through internships is acceptable.
