Objective:

The Video Editor is responsible for capturing, editing, and producing high-quality video content that communicates the vision and values of the church. This role plays a key part in engaging the congregation and expanding outreach through compelling visual storytelling across multiple platforms.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Capture, edit, and produce high-quality video content that tells meaningful stories and supports the church's mission.
  • Edit video for weekend services, live streams, social media, and internal communications.
  • Create and incorporate motion graphics, animations, and color correction to enhance video projects.
  • Assist with pre-production planning, including concept development, scripting, and shot planning.
  • Support video shoots through setup and operation of cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Ensure consistent branding, style, and visual quality across all video content.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stay up to date with video production techniques, trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with the Video Director to execute projects aligned with the church's vision.
  • Provide video support to various ministries and campuses as needed.
  • Organize and maintain media assets, including archiving footage and managing project files.
  • Actively engage in the life of the church, including attending weekend services and participating in church-wide initiatives (e.g., tithing).

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday during regular office hours
  • Availability required for evenings and weekends as needed for services and events

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Experience with DSLR/mirrorless cameras, gimbals, lighting, and audio equipment
  • Strong understanding of video formats, compression, and platform-specific requirements
  • Strong storytelling ability and visual creativity
  • Excellent attention to detail in editing, pacing, and visual composition
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of social media platforms and best practices for video distribution
  • Strong organizational skills for file management and asset tracking
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team

Education:

  • College Degree in creative arts or equivalent experience
