Position Overview

In this role, you will participate in feature development, bug fixing, unit testing, and learn the team's engineering practices and toolchain. You will work in a cross-functional team focused on building and maintaining software for various products and components. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of unique challenges which give you the chance to learn modern technology and grow your skills. This role is hybrid in Toronto, Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Prototype, implement, and maintain features and software components

  • Participate in code reviews and improve code quality based on feedback

  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and system stability

  • Trouble shoot and fix bugs efficiently

  • Learn and follow the team's engineering processes, tools, and architecture

  • Collaborate with the product owner, experience designer and product management teams to review and implement proposed designs

  • Being agile and using LEAN methodology as an active member of a Scrum team

  • Gather and incorporate user feedback to continuously improve product quality and user experience

  • Proactively learn and share new technologies, stay current with the latest AI trends and actively contribute ideas for integrating AI into our products and workflows that create tangible value for customers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in software engineering or equivalent

  • 2+ years experience with C++, C# or similar

  • Good understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD)

  • Experience in performance tuning, debugging, and system analysis

  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

  • Experience working in a Scrum team

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background or education in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is a big plus

  • Experience with Git or similar source code revision control systems

  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipeline, installation, and Test Automation

  • Familiarity with computational geometry

  • Experience with C#, .NET, Python.

  • Experience with cloud services and web technologies.

  • Knowledge of databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, SQLite).

  • Practical experience with AI technologies, frameworks, or platforms

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $88,000 and $128,700. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
