Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team on a contingent basis. This role involves consulting on complex initiatives, addressing large-scale software engineering challenges, and contributing to the resolution of multi-faceted situations. The position requires a strong understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will collaborate strategically with client personnel and support a portfolio of enterprise applications and data platforms. A key focus will be on migrating SSIS ETL pipelines to Apache Spark/Spark Flow.
Responsibilities:
  • Migrate SSIS ETL pipelines to Apache Spark/Spark Flow.
  • Support data lake processes, including data ingestion, file handling, and access management.
  • Provide application support for approximately 15 systems, including troubleshooting, enhancements, and stability improvements.
  • Assist with data center migration impacts across applications.
  • Build and maintain APIs using .NET and Python FastAPI.
  • Develop and support frontend components in React and Angular.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Work in containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications:
  • 5 years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent, demonstrated through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
  • Proficiency in Apache Spark/Spark Flow.
  • Experience with SSIS or similar ETL tools.
  • Strong .NET C# development skills.
  • Proficiency in Python and FastAPI for REST APIs.
  • Experience with SQL Server.
  • Frontend development experience in React and/or Angular.
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with MongoDB.
  • Proficiency in Java.
  • Experience with data lake or large-scale migration projects.
