What You'll Do:

As a Director of Social Services, you will lead our Social Services Department and the programs within it.  Your work will play a crucial role in ensuring the emotional, social, and psychological well-being of our residents. 

Key Responsibilities of a Director of Social Services:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive social services programs that address the diverse needs of our residents
  • Provide leadership to the Social Services team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans that enhance the overall well-being of residents
  • Act as a liaison between residents, families, and community resources to support a seamless transition into our facility and assist with discharge planning
  • Advocate for residents' rights, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and maintaining their dignity and independence

What You'll Bring:

Qualifications of a Director of Social Services:

  • Master's degree in social work or related field
  • Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years in social services, with at least 2 of those years in a leadership role in a long-term care setting
  • Strong understanding of the aging process, psychosocial needs of the elderly, and the impact of chronic illness
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team and build positive relationships with residents and their families
