Position Summary

Under minimum supervision the Site Manager will direct operations, dispatch, employee retention and advancement, sales/marketing for the site or assigned territory. The Site Manager’s overall accountability is to ensure customer responsiveness and customer satisfaction; achieved by providing high quality industrial cleaning service focused on safety and our customer’s needs. 

The Site Manager specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a safety and environmental champion, lead by example, participate in health, safety and environmental activities and correct/coach unsafe conditions and behaviors among subordinates and others.
  • Drive change with a focus on safety (goal of zero accidents) and continual improvement.
  • Train and mentor Field Service staff on the operation and maintenance of waterblasting and related equipment, including automated equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation; provide input to the general management regarding performance evaluations for individuals.
  • Support outages and special operation’s projects, as needed; meet with Regional Manager, Branch Manager, and or designated Supervisors, as applicable to communicate customer requirements and review the daily job schedule; discuss priorities - changes, equipment availability, etc. to best meet the customer’s needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relations by responding to customer needs and coordinating the appropriate support through utilizing the dedicated crew and/or directing support from the Branch Manager.
  • Effectively and professionally communicate with customer to ensure job/tasks are performed in the desired manner.      
  • Able to operate all SES Vacuum Trucks, Water Blasters, Steamer units, and associated equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures;
  • Manages and directs the dispatch process; i.e., appropriate talented staff, equipment and resources available; set up work site/area (equipment, tools, and employees) to ensure all workers, company/customer equipment and facilities remain safe and do not incur personal injury or damages as a result of the work performed.
  • Directs personnel at job-site and perform any necessary work task to ensure the job is completed in the best interest of SES safety, efficiency, and to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Ensure employees are complying with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, adherence to all safety rules or best practices, attendance, substance abuse, theft, willful or neglectful damage to company equipment, uniforms and all company rules and regulations.
  • Conduct safety meetings with employees prior to each job and assure that proper safety procedures are followed.
  • Professionally complete or direct and review the completion of all on-site paperwork for the company and customer to drive the Branch billing and payroll functions and assure regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure all daily job tickets are accurately input into the mobile tablet system and all items used to perform the work are properly captured and submitted to Admin for billing, including labor, equipment, including ancillary items, and ensure that PPE/Supplies are identified properly. Document all subcontractor costs, transportation, waste disposal and rental equipment on job sheets, as applicable to ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Effectively resolve customer complaints and/or service problems in a timely manner. 
  • Ensure regular communication with Department Managers to get feedback and inquire about new opportunities, outages, etc. 
  • Attend monthly contractor safety meeting, or as needed.
  • Attend Contractor Outage Planning Meetings.
  • Evaluate employee performance and conduct on-the-job training and coaching when necessary.

The Site Manager will also undertake other responsibilities and duties that may be assigned by SES from time to time.      

Qualifications  

  • Minimum of 5 years in the Environmental and/or Industrial Services industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree, a minimum of 5 years managerial experience
  • Minimum 5 years of safety and government compliance
  • Sales experience preferred
