Weekend 2nd Shift, Thursday - Sunday, 2:30pm - 1:00am
At GXO Logistics, exceptional customer service is at the heart of our success. As the Operations Supervisor, you will work cross-functionally with various departments, including sales, carrier procurement and operations, carrier compliance, finance and accounts payable. You'll handle a team of Carrier Procurement Representatives and ensure that everyone is consistently delivering positive results. As a part of the GXO team, you'll have a starring role in helping us continue to provide game-changing solutions for our global customers.

What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Handle the daily operations of the team
  • Develop and expand carrier relationships with both existing and new carriers
  • Train, mentor and develop a team of Carrier Procurement Representatives
  • Book freight and maintain KPI metrics while ensuring your direct reports do the same

What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
  • 2 years of transportation-related experience

It'd be great if you also have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 2 years of non-asset-based brokerage experience
  • Solid experience in management, including prioritizing work and performing well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid conflict resolution skills
  • Proven leadership and creative thinking skills with the ability to effectively supervise, coach and influence employees
