Position Description

Travel: RN MS/Tele Trauma 7S

Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week.

HOLIDAYS AS REQUIRED. EVERY OTHER WEEKEND.

Our Trauma Surgical Unit is primarily home to our acute care trauma and surgical patient population.

Nurses in this area have a 1:6 ratio and specialize in an interdisciplinary team approach to each patient's specific needs.

This unit's staff are experts in trauma but also ortho and urology patients as this unit will provide care to this population as well.

This unit values collaboration with family practice physicians, hospitalists, as well as a variety of surgical specialists while proudly providing individualized attentionto all patients who are hospitalized for illness, surgery, or testing and observation.

Education - Required

  • Associated degree in nursing

Certifications – Required

  • AHA BLS

  • OR RED CROSS

Licenses – Required

  • Registered Nurse State of Alabama or Compact license (No Temp Licenses' accepted)

  • NURSYS

Experience - Required:

  • 2 years experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of RECENT experience in the field of specialty.
