Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Acute Dialysis night shift position requiring at least 1 year of recent dialysis experience and an active AL or compact RN license.
Job Details
• Dialysis unit located across two campus locations with eight bays at one site and four bays at the other,
• Performs bedside and peritoneal dialysis treatments for patients within the organization,
• RN:patient ratios of 1:2, or 1:3 when paired with a CCHT,
• Uses Fresenius dialysis machines, with Gambro machines used as needed,
• Training provided for candidates unfamiliar with Fresenius or Gambro equipment,
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM,
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals within the system,
• Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week,
• Every other weekend required,
• Holiday coverage required as needed,
• On-call responsibilities required at one of the two campus locations,
Job Requirements
• Active RN license (Alabama State or Compact) required, no temporary licenses accepted,
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross required,
• Associate degree in nursing required,
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, including at least 1 recent year in dialysis,
• Professional Nursing Certification preferred,
• Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English,
• NURSYS license verification required,
• No history of license actions, past or current, allowed,

• Works alongside Certified Dialysis Techs as part of the care team,
