Job description

Position: Production Associate (Relief Operator)
Location: Hanover, PA
Pay: $24.98 - $30.42 ($0.45 shift differential for night shift)
Shift: 7:00pm-7:00am
Rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts; 3 days on, two days off, two days on, three days off. Work approximately 15 days a month and have a three-day weekend every other weekend.

While reporting to the Plant Superintendent as the Relief Operator you will be responsible for the timely & efficient processing of the work requirements for the assigned line. You will be trained in all production positions in the plant. Your main responsibility is the operation of the extruder and printing functions while directing the rest of the line operation.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Sets up, starts, and operates extruder pressure calibration tanks, spray cooling tank, cutter, recutter, water chilling system and printer.

  • Selects and installs printing plates on plate cylinders and checks to insure proper alignment and registration. Operates to ensure proper application and curing of inks while complying with quality standards. Cleans color heads, printing plates, and blankets as required.

  • Observes the production of plastic tubes and makes necessary adjustment to equipment to maintain proper production rate and quality objectives.

  • Documents quality and process information as required and assists with first/last piece inspections.

  • Provides training to other team members as required.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • 2 to 3 years operating forklifts.

  • Proficiency with using a computer.

  • 1 to 2 years fork truck driving experience.

  • Ability to work well with others.

  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to work 12 hr shifts.

  • Must be able to adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

  • Basic computer skills

  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.

  • Ability to relate well to others and maintain effective working relationships.

  • Ability to complete forklift recertification training on a yearly basis.
