Job description

  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • Position Summary:
      • Responsible for clerical support in the outpatient medical practice including, but not limited to, greeting patients and visitors in a prompt and courteous manner, obtaining new patient and insurance information, checking in return patients, and verifying all patient information is current. The Receptionist collects applicable fees at the point of service, schedules appointments, consults, handles phone services, and manages clinic records; verifies insurance coverage and appropriate referral information; enters patient demographics into computer system; prepares daily deposits, balancing per protocol; and provides clerical/administrative support as assigned.

    • Minimum Education
      • High School Graduate or GED
    • Minimum Experience
      • Two years office experience preferred
      • Medical office experience preferred
      • Medical terminology, CPT, ICD-9 or ICD-10 coding experience preferred
    • Required Registration/License/Certification
