What is a behavioral health receptionist?

Behavioral Health Receptionists are administrative professionals who work in mental health clinics, counseling centers, or psychiatric offices. They are responsible for greeting clients, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records. These receptionists often handle sensitive information and must maintain confidentiality while providing a welcoming and supportive environment for clients seeking behavioral health services. Their role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the office and supporting both clients and clinicians.
