ASRC Federal System Solutions LLC, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking an Electronics Technician to join our NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center team. This position supports real-time aeronautics research and low earth orbiting space vehicles using radar and mobile tracking systems.
This role is located at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center on Edwards Air Force Base, near Palmdale/Lancaster, CA. As a part of this team, you will be required to work a 9/80 schedule with typical hours of 6:30am-4:00pm with occasional overtime (weekdays or weekends) to support mission flight operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide real-time and post-flight engineering and technical support for all supported radar tracking and mobile systems.
  • Perform pre-mission setup of fixed tracking systems to meet specific mission or project requirements and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Capture and archive real-time data.
  • Provide preventative and corrective maintenance of all hardware systems supported
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system failures with common electronic measuring equipment.

Requirements:
  • HS diploma or equivalent. Completion of formal training in an accredited commercial or military electronics school and 1 year of related work experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, vector scopes, and TV signal generators.
  • Must be U.S. Citizen
  • Maintain a valid Driver's License and possess a REAL ID
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance; Existing Secret Clearance Preferred
