As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Project Coordinator. Project Summary

We are seeking a mission-driven professional to join our Project Management (PM) team as a Project Coordinator. This role is essential for supporting the execution of high-visibility defense programs. You will be responsible for a variety of project coordination tasks, including planning, tracking, and documentation. While primarily focused on project management operations, you will also provide vital reach-back support to our Customer Engagement Management (CEM) team, offering on-site presence and assistance in a range of technical areas. This position requires an active Top Secret clearance and the ability to work within secure environments on projects that directly contribute to national security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of IT and office move projects, from initiation to closeout.

  • Maintain project documentation, deliverables, and compliance artifacts.

  • Track project milestones, risks, and dependencies, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and project schedules.

  • Prepare briefings, status reports, and other materials for project reviews.

  • Coordinate meetings, reviews, and technical interchange sessions with internal teams and government stakeholders.

  • Assist with tracking government-furnished equipment and assets.

  • Support the CEM team, providing routine customer check-ins with to identify and address immediate needs and escalate issues to appropriate teams as necessary.

  • Provide timely updates and ensure clear communication across all parties.

  • Capture customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.

  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required For This Opportunity
  • 2-5 years of experience in project coordination, program support, customer engagement, IT support or similar roles within the defense industry.

  • Active Top Secret clearance

  • Demonstrated proficiency in core project management skills, including project planning, schedule management, resource tracking, and risk identification.

  • Strong understanding of DoD environments and secure program operations.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface professionally with government customers and internal teams.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, asset management, project lifecycle management, and contract compliance.

  • Proficiency with project management tools and collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, MS Project).

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience supporting classified programs or working in SCIF environments.

  • Certifications such as CAPM or PMP.

  • Experience with business analytics and data visualization tools.

At AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member. The targeted base salary range for this role is $88,000-$134,000 per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
