ResponsibilitiesProcurement ManagerLocation: Augusta, GA At Morgan Advanced Materials, we make specialist materials and products that help industries operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. In this role, you'll play a key part in keeping our manufacturing operation running by making sure the right materials are available, at the right quality, and at the right cost.This isn't just about placing orders. You'll shape procurement strategy, build strong supplier partnerships, manage risk, and help drive continuous improvement across the supply chain. If you enjoy combining commercial thinking with operational impact, you'll feel right at home here.The RoleAs Procurement Manager, you'll lead procurement activities for a manufacturing site focused on crucible production. You'll work closely with production, quality, warehouse, and leadership teams to ensure materials flow efficiently through the business while balancing cost, quality, delivery, and inventory.You'll also lead and develop the procurement function, helping create a supply chain that's resilient, lean, and fit for the future.What You'll Do
  • Develop and deliver procurement strategies that support business and production goals
  • Forecast material requirements and align purchasing plans with manufacturing demand
  • Lead supplier selection, performance management, and relationship building
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and commercial terms
  • Manage supplier risk and identify opportunities to improve supply continuity
  • Monitor inventory levels and help maintain the right balance between availability and working capital
  • Work with quality teams to ensure purchased materials meet required standards
  • Lead supplier audits and support corrective actions where needed

QualificationsWhat You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Around 10 years of procurement experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation

  • Solid understanding of inventory management and working capital principles
