Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Procurement Analyst to support procurement activities, supplier management, purchasing operations, and cost optimization. The Procurement Analyst will analyze purchasing data, monitor supplier performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide insights that support strategic sourcing and procurement decisions. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Pay rate is to $27 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze purchasing, spend, supplier, and pricing data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare procurement reports, dashboards, forecasts, and performance metrics for management.
  • Monitor purchase orders, supplier performance, pricing, delivery schedules, and contract compliance.
  • Support sourcing activities, including supplier research, bid analysis, RFQs/RFPs, and supplier comparisons.
  • Maintain accurate procurement, supplier, pricing, and contract records.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve pricing, delivery, quality, and invoicing issues.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Inventory, and other departments to ensure purchasing requirements are met.
  • Assist with contract negotiations and supplier evaluations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Track procurement KPIs and provide recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and established procurement procedures.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and spend-management initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, sourcing, or data analysis preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of purchasing and supplier-management processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years in procurement analysis.
  • Experience with ERP or procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with spend analysis and procurement analytics.
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.
