Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and the ability to start within 7-10 days of offer acceptance.

Details
  • 9-bed Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
  • Adult patient population
  • 1:1 patient ratio
  • Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
  • 36 hours per week
  • Float requirement to Postpartum unit
  • EMR systems used: Centricity and Meditech
  • Common diagnoses and treatments include Normal Spontaneous Labor, Preterm Labor, Gestational Hypertension, Preeclampsia, Placenta Previa, Placental Abruption, Fetal Distress, Umbilical Cord Prolapse, and Postpartum Hemorrhage
Requirements
  • Active AL RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current AHA-issued certifications required: BLS, ACLS or ALS-OB, NRP, and EFM
  • Minimum of 3 years of L&D nursing experience
  • Proficiency in fetal monitoring and assessment, emergency response, postpartum care, and time management
  • Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
  • Candidate's permanent address must be located more than 60 miles from the facility
Additional Information
  • This is a rapid response position โ€” candidates must be able to start within 7-10 days of offer acceptance
  • Weekly orientation is held on Mondays
  • Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
  • Ceil blue scrubs are required; scrubs with slogans, graphics, offensive content, or non-compliant colors are not permitted
