PLATING OPERATOR II
Kelly Services is hiring a temporary Plating Operator position that requires at least 1 year of relevant experience. The role involves operating plating production processes, performing quality checks, maintaining equipment, handling finished products using a forklift, and keeping a clean workspace
Schedule & Training
Hours: 3rd shift, Monday–Friday, 11 pm–7 am. Overtime available on weekends as needed.
Location: Greensboro, NC
Initial training occurs on 1st shift for several weeks before transitioning to the permanent 3rd shift schedule.
Pay rate: $15 per hour.
Responsibilities
  • Operate production processes for parts using designated plating methods, including setup, changeovers, and periodic equipment maintenance.
  • Perform quality checks on products, both during and after plating, using X-ray machines and other measurement tools.
  • Complete necessary documentation regarding the plating procedures.
  • May use a forklift to move finished products to the shipping area.

Daily Tasks
  • Maintain plating baths by monitoring chemical levels and mixing chemicals as necessary.
  • Set up manufacturing support systems including laser stations, print stations, DI water systems, closed-loop evaporators, and vision systems.
  • Identify and remove product defects.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with company standards.
  • Unload finished materials and load new materials into the processing area.

Skill Requirements
  • Utilizes job skills and company policies gained through at least one year of relevant work or vocational experience.
  • May occasionally need to deviate from standard procedures based on job requirements.
