About This Role 

We believe people should love what they do - in this role, you will be responsible for:  

  • Performing mechanical properties testing 

  • Evaluation of in-house heat-treated parts 

  • Assisting with failure analysis projects 

  • Checking incoming parts for metallurgical conformance 

  • Evaluating microstructures of steel, aluminum, and other materials 

  • Assisting in monitoring of plating and cleaning solutions (wet chemistry) 

  • Documenting test and evaluation results 

  • Communicating with engineers, mentor, and internal customers in regard to materials investigations 

Qualifications 

  • Student should be engaged in the pursuit of a B.S. in an accredited Materials Science/Engineering or Metallurgy program 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 

  • Familiarity with metallurgical lab procedures
