What You Will Do:

As a Program Engineer you’ll provide engineering support to the Program(s), leveraging your knowledge of operations and your network of operations contacts in order to facilitate alignment of needs and resources of both operations and the program office.

In this multi-faceted role you’ll communicate between Program and Manufacturing Engineers around changes to the Technical and Manufacturing Data Packages. You’ll also assist the Program Operations Manager in communicating CDRL requirements, program tasks and objectives, projects, etc. to the operations Manufacturing Engineers and you’ll provide input to the Program Office regarding operations capabilities and constraints.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Providing engineering review input to EACs, ERBs, CCB, etc.
• Participating in design discussions to drive manufacturability and producibility
• Engaging with factory Manufacturing Engineers and technical experts to resolve technical issues
• Coordinating program technical activities with factory support Manufacturing Engineers
• Attending factory Tier 2 meetings for each factory that interfaces with the program
• Leading continuous improvement project management with RRMIF ME/PTE team
• Assisting Program Operations Manager in development of Risks & Opportunities and drive to IPTs
• Initiating / Maintaining MDP, communicate CDRL requirements
• Review EAC schedule for adequate schedule margin on tasks that affect Ops readiness
• Providing sufficient look-ahead to factory MEs for engineering changes & effectivity cut-in.
• Participating in All Hands Reviews (Mission Area, Factories, Functional)
• Developing / Maintaining APQP elements (for example, PFMEA)
• Identifying & Maintaining Critical Manufacturing Processes
• Providing support surge capability to RRMIF Factory a/r (e.g. supplier rework/ weekend OT)

This job is posted as ONSITE and is located at Raytheon’s facility at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years’ prior relevant experience
• Experience troubleshooting hardware in a factory environment
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.

• Experience with interpretation of technical documentation
• Experience leading teams or projects
• Knowledge and ability to apply CORE principles and techniques
• Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines in a team environment
• Innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and keeps pace with advances in technology
• Experience with automated tooling, machinery and programming

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
