Bus Driver

Salary Range $27.80 - $27.80 Hourly

Overview

Colorado Academy seeks candidates for a School Bus Driver position. The School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, field trips, late bus routes and other school-related activities. This position requires a commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safety:

  • Operate the school bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment.
  • Supervise student behavior on the bus and implement appropriate disciplinary measures.

Transportation:

  • Transport students to and from school, field trips, and other school-related activities according to established routes and schedules.
  • Ensure that all students are properly seated and secured before driving.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.

Compliance:

  • Comply with all state and federal regulations pertaining to school bus operations.
  • Attend required training and professional development sessions.
Qualifications
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with both "P" and "S" endorsement
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a physical examination and drug test.
