Summary of Position: • Ferris State University Racquet and Fitness Center is looking to fill front desk staff positions.
• This position is part-time and offers a minimum of 15 hours per week, and a maximum of 28 hours per week, but the shifts may include early openings, late closing, weekends, or during university breaks.
Position Type: Staff
Required Education: • High school diploma.
Required Work Experience: • Must have at least 3 years of working experience.

• Check in customers, process payments, and handle class registrations and cancellations.
• Check the customer's account balance and update membership status.
• Provide correct information and take accurate messages.
• Process locker and equipment rental requests.
• Carries out responsibilities in accordance with university policies and applicable laws.
• Cultivates an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty, and staff to thrive authentically.
• Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives.
• Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
Marginal Duties/Responsibilities: • Keep the working and entry area clean.
Skills and Abilities: • Basic computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Office Word.
• Basic typing skills and can type fast during rush hours.
• Demonstrated successful experience working directly with people from diverse backgrounds, including cultural, educational, socioeconomic, and life experiences.
