Part Time Support

  FLSA: Non-Exempt   Temporary/Continuing:  Continuing   Part-Time/Full-Time: Part-Time   Union Group: N/A   Term of Position: 12 Month   At Will/Just Cause: Just Cause   Summary of Position: Ferris State University Racquet and Fitness Center is looking to fill front desk staff positions.
This position is part-time and offers a minimum of 15 hours per week, and a maximum of 28 hours per week, but the shifts may include early openings, late closing, weekends, or during university breaks.   Position Type: Staff   Required Education: High school diploma.   Required Work Experience: Must have at least 3 years of working experience.   Required Licenses and Certifications:     Physical Demands:

  Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Have at least one year of working experience related to customer service.   Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Aid with walk-in and telephone calls from students, faculty, members, and visitors at the Racquet and Fitness Center.
Check in customers, process payments, and handle class registrations and cancellations.
Check the customer's account balance and update membership status.
Provide correct information and take accurate messages.
Process locker and equipment rental requests.
Carries out responsibilities in accordance with university policies and applicable laws.
Cultivates an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty, and staff to thrive authentically.
Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives.
Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.   Marginal Duties/Responsibilities: Keep the working and entry area clean.   Skills and Abilities: Basic computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Office Word.
Basic typing skills and can type fast during rush hours.
Demonstrated successful experience working directly with people from diverse backgrounds, including cultural, educational, socioeconomic, and life experiences.   Required Documents:
