Job description

Summary

Reporting to the Production or Packing Supervisor, this position is responsible for the inspection, assembly, packaging, and preparation of finished powersports products for shipment. Products include UTV door frames, boat covers, personal watercraft covers, snowmobile covers, and other sewn powersport accessories.

This role supports manufacturing operations through assembly, welding, fitting, inspection, packaging, and general production support while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions
  • Operate according to all company production, packing, quality, and safety procedures.
  • Assemble UTV door frames and related hardware components using hand tools, fixtures, and assembly equipment.
  • Perform light welding, fitting, fastening, and component installation as required.
  • Inspect sewn products and assembled components for quality, appearance, workmanship, and dimensional accuracy.
  • Package finished goods according to work instructions, packing specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Review work orders, pack notes, bills of material, and production instructions for assembly and packaging requirements.
  • Prepare products for shipping, labeling, palletizing, and staging as required.
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of production paperwork, timesheets, and related documentation.
  • Maintain productivity standards while meeting quality and schedule requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, safety, and workflow.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company standards.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure own production conforms to quality, safety, and scheduling requirements.
  • Inspect input and output quality requirements on all products processed.
  • Follow approved procedures and standardized work instructions to complete assigned tasks.
  • Maintain production quotas or notify supervisor/line leader when unable to meet expectations.
  • Safely operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, welding equipment, and packing equipment as trained.
  • Handle materials and finished products carefully to prevent damage.
  • Assist with inventory movement, material handling, and workstation setup as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with sewing, assembly, quality, and shipping departments.
  • Cross-train and perform duties in other production areas as business needs require.
  • Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules as business needs dictate.
Qualifications
  • Manufacturing, assembly, packing, or production experience preferred.
  • Experience with sewn products, powersports accessories, metal assembly, or welding is a plus.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, work orders, and production documentation.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm motions.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing and warehouse environment involving assembly, sewing support, packaging, and shipping operations for powersports and marine accessories. Personal protective equipment may be required in designated production areas.
