Position Summary

The To-Go Food Packer / Food Expo plays a critical support role in ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality packaging of takeout and delivery orders, while also coordinating and expediting food from the kitchen, sushi bar, and hibachi stations to the dining room and to-go area. This position requires strong attention to detail, speed, organization, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pack to-go and delivery orders according to ticket specifications and restaurant standards

• Ensure all items (food, sauces, utensils, napkins, and condiments) are included and properly packaged

• Label orders clearly and organize them for guest pickup or delivery driver handoff

• Expo food from the kitchen, sushi bar, and hibachi stations — check tickets, quality, and completeness before food leaves the line

• Communicate effectively with servers, chefs, and hosts regarding order status and special requests

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo and to-go packing areas

• Monitor and restock to-go supplies (containers, bags, utensils, sauces, etc.)

• Follow all food safety, temperature control, and sanitation guidelines

• Support the overall team by assisting with side work and other duties as assigned

• Uphold a positive, professional attitude and contribute to a smooth service flow

Requirements

• Previous restaurant experience preferred (to-go, food runner, expo, or kitchen support experience is a plus)

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow tickets accurately

• Ability to work quickly and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

• Reliable, punctual, and professional

• Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30–40 lbs

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
