What is a Weekend Optum Medical Coder?

A Weekend Optum Medical Coder is a healthcare professional who works primarily on weekends, reviewing and translating medical records into standardized codes for billing and insurance purposes at Optum, a healthcare services company. They ensure that diagnoses, procedures, and services are accurately coded according to regulatory requirements.
