Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate overhead cranes, hoists, and related equipment to lift and move materials within the facility.
  • Position and secure loads using chains, slings, and other rigging equipment.
  • Communicate with ground personnel using hand signals, radios, or other approved methods.
  • Conduct pre-operation and post-operation inspections of cranes and rigging equipment.
  • Report any mechanical issues, unsafe conditions, or equipment defects immediately.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and comply with OSHA safety regulations.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks or production lines when required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work closely with supervisors, production staff, and logistics teams to ensure workflow efficiency.
  • Participate in ongoing safety and equipment training as required.
  • Job Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Proven experience operating overhead cranes in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
    • Knowledge of crane operations, load charts, and rigging principles.
