WPT Nonwovens Corp has proudly opened our third facility in Beaver Dam, KY! This state-of-the-art, high-speed automated manufacturing facility produces American-made nonwoven fabrics serving global markets such as medical, hygiene, and filtration products. Everyday items like diapers, air filters, and wound dressings come from our lines, and we turn customer ideas into fully commercialized products.

The Production Shift Supervisor reporting to the Operations Director must have the ability to make critical decisions in an ever-changing manufacturing environment while having a bias for action. This role’s focus is on the long-term business strategy in order to improve the performance of production operations while leading the production employees. A close working relationship with hourly employees will develop trust and drive improvements. The Production Supervisor will coach, mentor, and develop employees in addition to planning, assigning work, enforcing policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Shift Supervisor to coordinate and oversee production activities, ensuring quality products are consistently produced and operational goals are met. This hands-on role works closely with the Operations Director, technicians, and support teams to optimize manufacturing performance.


  • Manage production Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics and audits to sustain standards
  • Drive improvements using problem-solving methodologies and facilitate continuous improvement
  • Direct production to assure on-time production and delivery
  • Train employees to produce at standard-and-above efficiency
  • Maintain quality standards
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate employees while maintaining high morale and positive relationships
  • Teach safe work practices and good housekeeping procedures, ensuring adherence
  • Ensure accuracy of required administrative reports and record-keeping
  • Control absenteeism, scrap, and waste
  • Communicate frequently with office staff, giving and/or receiving information
  • Coach individuals and teams to develop people skills and improve performance
  • Plan actions, set priorities, and take direct action as needed
  • Complete all projects assigned by the Director of Operations

Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • High proficiency in MS Excel and systems applications
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and interpretive skills (calculations include weights, conversions, discounts, percentages, averages)
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret technical documents, procedure manuals, schematics, and safety rules
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members to impact operations positively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and common sense in executing instructions


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 30 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
  • Work in environments with moderate noise, heat/cold, humidity, vibration, airborne particles, or moving parts
  • Use hands and arms to handle objects and operate controls
