Responsibilities:

  • Provide residents with safe and accurate medication administration and treatment services according to healthcare provider orders and established protocols.
  • Supervise and support residents who self-administer their medications, ensuring compliance with company policies, state regulations, and safety standards.
  • Monitor, identify, and promptly report any changes in residents' physical condition, behaviors, or health status to the Charge Nurse or appropriate clinical staff.
  • Maintain thorough, timely, and accurate documentation in resident records, including medication distribution, treatments provided, observations, leisure activities, incident reports, and daily notes.
  • Uphold infection control guidelines, safety procedures, and resident rights at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to support a positive, resident-centered care environment.
  • Assist the nursing team with additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth weekend operations and continuity of care.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience working directly with older adults preferred
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Must enjoy working with the senior population
