Job description


The Facility Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and performance of a facility or portfolio of facilities. This role ensures that building systems, equipment, and infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. The FOM leads maintenance and engineering teams, manages vendor relationships, controls budgets, and ensures a high level of customer satisfaction.
Position Starts: 9/1/2026
Compensation: $100,000.00 annual salary (US Dollars)
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program
401(k) - You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Responsibilities
    • Manage all facility operations, including maintenance, engineering, housekeeping, grounds, and contracted services.
    • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems.
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
    • Supervise and develop engineering and maintenance personnel.
    • Manage vendor contracts, service agreements, and contractor performance.
    • Prepare and manage operating and capital budgets.
    • Monitor facility performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Respond to emergency situations and coordinate recovery efforts as needed.
    • Conduct facility inspections and audits to ensure operational excellence.
    • Partner with clients, occupants, and stakeholders to address facility-related concerns.
    • Support energy management and sustainability initiatives.
    • Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.

Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
    • 5+ years of facilities, engineering, maintenance, or operations management experience.
    • Experience managing teams in commercial buildings, manufacturing facilities, healthcare, airports, data centers, or industrial environments.
    • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
    • Experience with CMMS, work order systems, and facility management software.
    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Budgeting and financial management experience.
