Job description

As our Operations Manager, you are the captain of the ship for a branch generating over $30 million in revenue. You will lead, inspire, and train a dedicated team of drivers and frontline personnel to ensure our daily operations run like clockwork. This isn't a "sit behind a desk all day" job-it's a dynamic role where your leadership directly impacts our safety, culture, and bottom line.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead & Inspire: Recruit, train, and mentor an incredible team. You'll champion an environment of fair treatment, high appearance standards, and progressive professional development.
  • Master the Grid: Establish daily priorities to crush our customer service commitments. You will direct collection and disposal services to make sure our fleet and personnel are utilized to their absolute peak potential.
  • Safety First, Always: Lead the charge on our safety programs. You'll conduct engaging monthly safety meetings, routine route observations, and ensure our entire driving team is fully DOT-compliant.
  • Run the Business: Partner in developing and executing a winning operational profit plan. You'll have your eyes on productivity standards, cost margins, and strategic growth.

What You Bring to the Table
  • The Experience: 2-3 years of experience in the waste industry is highly desired, paired with a BA/BS degree or equivalent hands-on leadership experience.
  • The Credentials: A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a major plus (or the ability to obtain one), along with meeting all safety-sensitive function criteria.
  • The Skills: Stellar communication skills and a proven track record of bringing out the best in large teams.
  • The Hustle: You are comfortable working in an office environment about 80% of the time, but you're always ready to step out into the field, audit routes, and tackle real-world traffic and field conditions when needed.
