What You'll Do
As an ICU RN, you'll play a critical role in delivering advanced nursing care to critically ill patients while collaborating with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide comprehensive, high-acuity nursing care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice
  • Perform ongoing, detailed assessments and promptly identify changes in patient condition
  • Administer medications, continuous infusions, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments safely and in accordance with hospital policy
  • Manage and monitor advanced medical equipment, including cardiac monitors, ventilators, and infusion pumps
  • Collaborate with physicians, intensivists, and care team members to achieve positive patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and families with compassion regarding critical care treatments and plans of care
  • Respond promptly and professionally to patient needs, alarms, and call lights
  • Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies and life-threatening situations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and healing patient environment
  • Participate in unit-based Quality Assurance, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Support the orientation and training of new staff and nursing students as requested
  • Practice within the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); BSN preferred
  • Active RN license eligible to practice in Wisconsin
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • ACLS certification preferred or required within a defined timeframe
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to safely use advanced patient care equipment and meet physical and cognitive job demands
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Pay & Differentials
  • $33.50 - $57.50 per hour, based on experience
