What You'll Do As an ICU RN, you'll play a critical role in delivering advanced nursing care to critically ill patients while collaborating with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team.
- Provide comprehensive, high-acuity nursing care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice
- Perform ongoing, detailed assessments and promptly identify changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, continuous infusions, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments safely and in accordance with hospital policy
- Manage and monitor advanced medical equipment, including cardiac monitors, ventilators, and infusion pumps
- Collaborate with physicians, intensivists, and care team members to achieve positive patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families with compassion regarding critical care treatments and plans of care
- Respond promptly and professionally to patient needs, alarms, and call lights
- Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies and life-threatening situations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and healing patient environment
- Participate in unit-based Quality Assurance, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives
- Support the orientation and training of new staff and nursing students as requested
- Practice within the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
What We're Looking For - Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); BSN preferred
- Active RN license eligible to practice in Wisconsin
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- ACLS certification preferred or required within a defined timeframe
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to safely use advanced patient care equipment and meet physical and cognitive job demands
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Pay & Differentials - $33.50 - $57.50 per hour, based on experience
- Evening and night shift differentials
- Weekend Program differential available
