Job description

Step into a rewarding school environment providing one-on-one care for a young student in need of expert nursing support. This contract role is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse who has a passion for working with children and making a tangible difference in a student's daily experience.

This part-time position involves direct 1:1 care for a 4-year-old student requiring oxygen support. The assignment runs from August 13, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with hours every Friday morning from 8:45AM to 11:45AM.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (required – include with application)
  • Previous school nursing experience required
  • Critical care background preferred
  • Experience providing one-on-one care to children
  • Comfortable with oxygen management and health monitoring for young children
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Commitment to patient privacy and ethical practice
  • Only RNs will be considered; LPNs are not eligible for this role
