Job description

Make an impact by providing dedicated care as a part-time 1:1 Registered Nurse for a young student in a school setting. This contract position offers the rewarding opportunity to support a 4-year-old student requiring oxygen, helping ensure their safety and well-being throughout their educational experience.

You’ll work every Friday morning from 8:45 AM to 11:45 AM during the academic year, starting in August 2026 and concluding in late May 2027. Your professional expertise and compassionate presence will be valued by students, families, and staff alike.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Registered Nurse license in Illinois (required)
  • Previous experience working in a school environment (required)
  • Prior critical care nursing experience (preferred)
  • Experience providing care to pediatric patients, especially with medical needs such as oxygen support
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with school staff and parents
  • Candidates must submit current RN license/certification and an up-to-date resume with application
  • Only Registered Nurses will be considered (no LPNs)

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 care for a 4-year-old student on oxygen, ensuring constant supervision and medical support
  • Monitor student’s health status and promptly respond to any emergencies or changes in condition
  • Administer medication and oxygen as prescribed
