Job description

Trusted is seeking an experienced nurse for this exciting travel nursing assignment. Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 12 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: TruStaff Program - Bon Secours Mercy Health and no current placement allowed at Program: TruStaff Program - Bon Secours Mercy Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Dysrhythmia interpretation required.

Required Credentials: - Must pass EKG exam at orientation.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - CAPD preferred.

Preferred Credentials: - Critical Care Course preferred.

Special Requests: - Assignment length may vary: 13 - 18 weeks. - Weekend-only block scheduling may be accommodated.

Unit Details: - Adult and geriatric mixed surgical population including general surgery, trauma, and minor orthopedic cases; post-op and post-trauma patients. - Average LOS: ~4 days; day shift can expect 1-2 patient turnovers per nurse per day. - Uses Alaris pumps, Hercules beds, BiPAP, CPAP, trachs, chest tubes, tube feeds via Kangaroo pumps, and remote telemetry. - Support staff includes monitor techs, phlebotomy, 1-2 CNAs per shift, sitters, charge nurses, and a rapid response team.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend and major holidays required. - Flexible contract hours: 48 per week may be considered.

Floating Requirements: - Float to other Med/Surg units as needed.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Proof of identification required for submission
