Job description

A registered professional nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care for assigned patients on a specific shift worked. Coordinator of the nursing plan of care as well as carrying out physician orders and nursing standards of care using the nursing process. Also directs and guides other members of the patient care team.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Nursing Diploma and/or Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Educational requirements per hospital certifications (Example: Stroke, Orthopedic/Spine)
  • Current and valid Registered nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or from a state that is part of a Compact agreement with Virginia
  • CPR
  • PCU- ACLS within one year of hire

Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN, MSN

  • Unit and annual competencies to be completed each year
  • HIPPA - no breaches of confidentiality. No related complaints voiced on patient satisfaction surveys. no related complaints voiced by fellow care providers of observed incidences
