Seeking Registered Nurse WOW!

Baptist Health Floyd, Internal Agency Nursing Pool

Part-time (24 Hours Weekly), Nights (7pm-7am)

Weekend Only Work (WOW)

Benefit Eligible

Job Duties:

The Internal Float Pool Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Internal Float Pool Nurse will be able to provide intermediate level of care to patients in various inpatient units upon staffing needs.

About the Department:

The Internal Float Pool consists of seasoned, experienced nurses who can work on any inpatient unit that is in need of additional staffing. The Internal Float Pool reports to their specific Supervisor who provides guidance when issues present. The House Managers will allocate staff to the greatest need in the hospital. Nurses need a minimum of two years recent acute care nursing experience in the hospital setting. Nurses must be PCU and Neuro competent. Critical Care and Emergency Department experience is welcomed.

Position/Opportunity Highlights:

Work every weekend and receive PREMIUM PAY for WOW shifts.

Qualifications:

Current Indiana or compact state RN license.

BLS for Healthcare provider required upon hire.

ACLS for Healthcare provider required upon hire.

NIHSS certification required upon hire.

PALS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 1 year of hire).

Minimum of two (2) years previous nursing experience required.

Previous experience in intermediate level of care preferred.
