Physical Requirements
The essential job functions of this position require: communicating effectively; building positive working relationships with individuals from a wide range of experiences; abiding by University guidelines; maintaining confidentiality; prioritizing and managing work effectively; providing exceptional customer service; perform work in a sedentary position; report to meetings at different locations both on campus on off campus; interact with individuals from various levels throughout the university. Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 10 lbs. Standing, walking, and sitting. Sitting at computer workstation for extended periods.
Shift
Primarily days with core hours from 8 am -5 pm, Monday - Friday. Additional hours required as workload demands.
Job Summary
Responsible for the development, oversight and management of occupational health and safety programs for the university. Promotes a safe and healthy environment for employees, students, patients and visitors. Promotes compliance with all applicable safety and health standards.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Prefer Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP); or other relevant professional certification.

Science, Environmental Health, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
