We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician (Quality) for our Appleton, Wisconsin, location. This is a weekend night shift, Friday-Sunday, 5pm-5am. Scheduled to work36 hoursbut paid for 40! This position also includes anadditional$1/hour shift differential for working the weekend night shift.

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play an integral role in ensuring we are producing high-performance components for the aerospace industry.

As a newly hired Quality Assurance Technician, you will be focused on receiving, unpacking and sorting incoming material, as well as identifying, packaging and shipping finished product to ensure timely delivery to our customers.

Your main role in Quality Assurance where you will use a variety of inspection devices, including calipers, micrometers and automated inspection equipment, to inspect finished machined components and ensure they meet quality, reliability and safety standards of ATI and our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Distribute incoming materials to designated locations
  • Break down all used packaging materials and dispose of in proper refuse containers
  • Perform daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on dock locks, dock plates, overhead doors, overhead cranes
  • Use various hand and power tools, including circular saw, hammer drill, bit driver, hammers and pry bars
  • Safely use overhead crane, straps and other custom lifting devices
  • Keep a clean and organized work area utilizing 5S methodology
  • Identify finished product using dot peen stamping machine and barcode scanning technologies
  • Maintain identification for product traceability.

A successful Quality Assurance Technician is aproblem-solver, safety-focused, understands the importance of precision and quality, and works collaboratively with all cross-functional teams. To become successful, you must have a strong desire to learn, excellent communication skills, be cross-trained, have a high attention to detail, and be able to multitask with multiple simultaneous priorities.

Candidates will be required to take a pre-employment skills test and must pass an eye and color exam prior to employment. Quality Assurance Technicians are also trained and must pass ATI fork truck operator assessment.

Our Appleton plant is a climate-controlled facility with brand new material handling and inspection equipment that you'll utilize daily.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1 or more years in manufacturing
  • Proficient with computers and technology
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.

Preferred Qualifications (in addition to Basic Qualifications)

  • 1 or more years experience operating CMM machines
  • Knowledge of dimensional gaging, primarily calipers and micrometers
  • Prior experience operating a forklift.

  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team
  • Strong ability to learn how to operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and interpret its results.
