Job description

14656 – Network Engineer (Onsite) – Tallahassee, FL
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client's site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.
Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.

Required:
  • Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
  • Experience with network engineering, including infrastructure/network hardware and software design, planning, and implementation (3-5 years);
  • Experience with Chapter 282, F.S. requirements;
  • Experience with network monitoring tools including SIEM tools;
  • Experience with network Operations Center ticketing systems;
  • Experience with confidentiality of records in accordance with Chapter 119, F.S.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Coordinate with internal staff and, occasionally, external customers to provide application maintenance and enhancements;
  • Provide technical documentation of work performed;
  • Monitor the network's performance, identifying, tracking, and reporting issues, and ensuring timely resolution;
  • Work on connectivity, security, and DNS issues escalated by the Network Operations Center;
  • Provide timely updates and reports on network status to relevant stakeholders;
  • Assist in ensuring the security of deployed applications;
  • Coordinate network maintenance activities and may serve as a project team member or lead, mentoring junior technical staff.
