Job description

About Avoca
Avoca is transforming how home service companies engage with their customers. Our AI-powered conversational agents handle every high-value inbound call, from booking jobs, qualifying leads, and driving higher revenue, all at a speed and consistency unmatched by human call centers.
We're a Series B startup backed by Kleiner Perkins, Meritech Capital, General Catalyst, and other top-tier investors, with $125M raised and a $1B valuation. We grew 10x in 2025 and have scaled to 100+ employees in under two years across our NYC headquarters and Santa Barbara office.
In a $1T+ market where 85% of missed calls go to competitors, we're building the category-defining platform for AI-driven customer engagement, serving the largest brands in home services. With high-energy, in-office teams in both locations, every hire here has an immediate and visible impact.
About the Role
As Creative Producer, you will produce every moving-image moment Avoca ships, owning the video, cinematography, animation, and podcast production that brings the brand to life across customer story films, founder content, brand video, animated explainers, event capture, and our owned podcast. Reporting directly to our Director of Brand, you'll partner side-by-side with our Creative Director on every project, with direct influence on how Avoca is seen and heard at the most important brand moment in the company's history.
You will architect Avoca's brand archive, the films, photography, animations, and audio that compound into category-defining work over time. Partnering closely with our Director of Brand, Creative Director, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Events, you will produce across four disciplines simultaneously and deliver against an aggressive Q2-Q4 calendar of customer films, founder essays, the marquee industry conference, and a Q4 product launch.
What You'll Do
  • Produce Avoca's flagship customer story films across our most strategic accounts, delivering 90-second hero cuts, 4-minute long versions, social-native verticals, and downloadable assets in service of sales and marketing pipeline.
  • Own all founder video content, including origin films, signature essay video versions, and ongoing founder interview captures that anchor the founder communications program.
  • Direct cinematography across customer site shoots, founder portraits, event capture, and aspirational brand photography, traveling 6-10 times per year to operator locations and industry events.
  • Lead motion design and animation for the brand, including a homepage live-performance counter, animated explainers of the leaky funnel and revenue stack, brand transitions, and social-native motion graphics.
  • Produce the Q4 sub-brand product launch film, the marquee industry conference recap reel, and post-event highlight content that amplifies the brand at scale.
  • Develop a recruiting brand archive with a series of day-in-the-life videos across HITL Operations, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales in service of Avoca's growth plan.
  • Scope and stand up Avoca's owned podcast, designing the audio brand identity, episode template, and production pipeline; produce, edit, and direct episodes when launched.
  • Build and maintain a brand asset library of 200+ approved photography and video assets, usable across web, sales, recruiting, press, and events.

What You'll Bring
  • 5-8+ years of progressive experience in multi-disciplinary creative production within B2B brand, documentary, or commercial video, with a demonstrated portfolio across at least three of the four disciplines (video, cinematography, animation, podcast). Startup or agency-led B2B experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong cinematography fluency with the ability to operate mirrorless or cinema cameras (Sony FX series, Canon C-series, RED, ARRI), including lighting and on-set audio capture.
  • Deep motion design expertise in Adobe After Effects, with the ability to produce brand-quality animations from scratch. Cinema 4D or Blender fluency is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to direct non-actors, operators, customers, employees and pull a great moment from people who have never been on camera.
  • Strong audio production capability and SFX attention to detail, across podcast editing, sound design, and on-set audio capture in tools including Logic, Pro Tools, or Descript.
  • Comfortable owning end-to-end production sprints, from pre-production through scheduling, on-site execution, post, and asset library management, running multiple shoots in parallel without dropping any.

Who You Are
  • A storyteller first, technician second. The gear is a means; the story is the point.
  • A multi-discipline creative who has resisted being told to specialize, and whose best work has emerged from the overlap of producing, shooting, animating, and producing audio.
  • A thoughtful communicator who can direct non-actors with empathy and turn raw operator footage into category-defining brand work.
  • Deeply collaborative, with a natural instinct for partnering with the Creative Director, Director of Brand, Product Marketing, and the broader Marketing team.
  • In-office, engaged, and eager to lead from the front at our NYC location full-time.

Benefits
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Company-sponsored 401(k) through Vestwell
  • Flexible PTO plus U.S. federal holidays
  • Company-wide off-sites
  • Daily in-office lunch through Parkday
  • Dinner covered when working late
  • Commuter benefits and late-night rideshare
  • Standing desks and workspace accommodations available on request
  • All core tools and software provided

Compensation: The expected base salary for this role is $165,000-$190,000 with final compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications determined during the interview process. Avoca's total compensation package includes base salary, bonus, equity, and a comprehensive suite of benefits and perks. Our Recruiting team will share the full details as you progress through our hiring process.
