Michelin-starred restaurant is seeking a passionate Pastry Chef to join our team!
As a pastry chef at Stubborn Seed, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, working under the guidance and leadership of Michelin-starred Chef Jeremy Ford. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality desserts and pastries that complement our restaurant's exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Pastry Preparation:
    • Prepare a wide range of pastry items, including but not limited to cakes, tarts, bread, ice cream, and chocolates.
    • Follow standardized recipes while paying close attention to presentation and taste.
    • Ensure the quality, freshness, and consistency of all pastry items.
  2. Plating and Presentation:
    • Work closely with the culinary team to ensure that dessert plates are beautifully presented.
    • Pay attention to artistic details and adhere to the restaurant's plating standards.
  3. Ingredient Management:
    • Maintain an organized and well-stocked pastry station.
    • Properly handle, store, and rotate all pastry ingredients to ensure freshness.
  4. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure that all pastry items meet the high-quality standards and taste expectations of a Michelin-starred restaurant.
    • Continuously seek ways to improve and innovate in the pastry department.
  5. Sanitation and Safety:
    • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
    • Follow proper safety procedures in the kitchen.
  6. Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with other members of the culinary team to coordinate dessert orders with the overall menu.
