Duties include but are not limited to:ย 

  • Facilitating the efficient and timely entry of the patient to the office setting;ย 
  • Greeting all patients in a professional manner;ย 
  • Handing out appropriate literature and information & forms to be filled out by patient; checking for accuracy and completion;ย 
  • Copying insurance ID cards and driver's licenses as well as several other general office activities related to medical practice.ย 
  • This person will also support the front office business administrators, and the Office Manager, in various operations areas and tasks.ย 
  • This person will be responsible for pulling and filing patient records; frequent telephone communication with patients including outreach and scheduling support; new patient chart set-up; other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.ย 

Other duties may include:ย 

  • Screening patients and employees daily upon entryย 
  • Checking patients In and Outย 
  • Rooming patients and keeping social distancing guidelinesย 
  • Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)ย 
  • Sanitizing and cleaning respective areas as neededย 

Requirements include:ย 

  • High School level educationย 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical computer programs and insurance policies preferredย 
  • Type 40 wpmย 
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel are requiredย 
  • The position requires someone who is personable, dependable, and responsible, with excellent organizational as well as verbal and written communication skillsย 
  • Must have a positive attitude with impeccable customer service skillsย
