Front Desk Medical Receptionist

Core Dermatology is seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced medical office, and takes pride in creating a welcoming, professional experience for every patient.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly and provide excellent front-desk customer service.
  • Check patients in and out efficiently and accurately.
  • Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and schedule appointments.
  • Verify insurance information and assist with insurance-related questions.
  • Collect copays, balances, and other payments while maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain patient demographics and other information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Coordinate referrals, medical records, and other front-office administrative tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and clinical staff.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and office policies.
  • Help keep the reception area organized, welcoming, and professional.
Qualifications
  • Previous medical receptionist, healthcare front desk, dermatology, or related experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
