Job Summary
The duties of an Experience Coordinator-MED TECH involve not only assisting with medication but also building relationships and understanding our residents; their history, what motivates them, and what gives them purpose. As well as assisting them with all activities that are essential to their daily lives. You will need strong communication skills, and a strong desire to build meaningful relationships with our residents, their families, and your teammates. Likewise, you will need to be an adaptable and driven person who strives to execute flawlessly all initiatives and tasks you are presented with!
Essential Responsibilities
• Verify the identification of a resident to assure appropriate care is being provided to residents.
• Recognize and respond to the needs of residents.
• Document changes in the resident's condition as soon as possible.
• Report resident's intake on meal percentage sheet.
• Document accidents and incidents when they occur.
• Assist with resident move-ins, transferring and move outs.
• Ensure all assigned tasks are handled in accordance with Community policies and procedures as instructed by the leader.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Ability to manage difficult or emotional resident and family members.
• Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Listens carefully and gets clarification.
• Literate in Word and Excel, as well as in basic (Window) environment
Education and Experience
• High School Diploma/GED.
• At least 2 years of leadership experience
• At least six months experience working in assisted living Community, nursing homes, memory care Community, hospital, home health agency, or other healthcare establishment.
• Certification as a Medication Technician
