$3000 sign-on Bonus
Available Shifts:
  • Weekend Day 6:00am - 6:00pm (Fri, Sat, Sun)
  • Weekend Night 6:00pm - 6:00am (Fri, Sat, Sun)

Weekend Premiums:
  • Weekend Day 11% plus 4 extra hours to make bring them to 40 hours
  • Weekend Night 15% plus 4 extra hours to make bring them to 40 hours

About this Opportunity:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that production expectations are met in a safe, efficient manner by directing the work of manufacturing employees. This includes resolving problems, coaching, and directing employees in their work. The Production Supervisor is responsible for monitoring employee abilities, quality, and quantity of work, safety, and progression of production throughout the facility. The Production Supervisor is expected to be onsite at times to support the needs of the business.
Responsibilities:
  • Able to comprehend production processes for maintaining required efficiency, quality, delivery, WIP (work in process), and labor in a favorable manner.
  • Communicates and coordinates daily with the Production Manager, Scheduling Team, Maintenance Manager, Engineering team, Quality Control Supervisor and Tool Room & Material supervisor.
  • Supports implementation and continuation of process improvements.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement within the manufacturing area(s).
  • Monitors equipment, employees, and targets to ensure exceptional quality production while minimizing downtime.
  • Evaluates daily production metrics and escalates areas that need further attention.
  • Collaborates with Quality Control employees to ensure consistency among departments.
  • Provides direct, consistent, and frequent intervention on complex processes when needed.
  • Addresses issues and concerns on site with employees in a professional manner and reports to the Production Manager and/or HR as needed.
  • Completes additional miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Production Manager.
  • Enforces company policies and procedures to assure a safe and compliant environment is maintained.
  • Coaches, mentors, and assures training is provided as needed to ensure employees are set for success.
  • Evaluates employee performance via performance management system to include establishment and review of goal setting per management guidance
  • Generates work schedules for responsible area(s) and makes adjustments as needed to ensure business needs are satisfied
  • Communicates company level, departmental level, and individual level information via appropriate method(s) in a professional manner
  • Able to resolve conflict on lowest level possible, escalating to leadership when necessary in a timely manner
  • Escalates production issues with urgency to the appropriate department.
  • Ability to work weekends when necessary. Flexible work schedule to include possible weekend / second shift on adhoc basis.

Requirements
  • Must be flexible to work on all shifts (Day, Swing, and Weekend) as needed
  • High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5-10 years in a similar manufacturing/production environment such as Medical devices, Aerospace and Defense, Automotive, Precision Instrument Manufacturing.
  • Previous exposure to Swiss machining / CNC machining and/or assembly a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understand KPI's such as Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Delivery, and provide actions to improve/recover as necessary.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles, able to support 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to handle complex problem solving.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows/Office software and ERP systems
