Salary & Benefits:
- $16.00-$18.00/hour.
- Complimentary Fitness Center and Coral Cove Water Park membership, two Coyote Crossing Mini Golf Passes, recognition awards, and social activities.
Hours:
- Part-time position (employees do not work more than 1,000 hours in a calendar year).
- 10-20 hours per week. Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
- Shifts generally between the hours of:
Monday - Friday: 4:30pm - 9:15pm
Saturday: 8am - 9:15pm
Sunday: 8am - 9:15pm
Position Summary:
This is not a sit behind the desk job! If you're looking for a stepping stone to learn behind the scenes recreation management or seeking a part time job that's different every day, then this is the opportunity for you. This position requires a high level of responsibility and works both independently and within a team structure to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities include monitoring programs, events and operations of park district facilities and parks, and acting as the evening and weekend manager on duty, responsible for responding to any questions or concerns that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years recreation or customer service experience.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Capable of independent problem-solving, proactive decision making, and able to confidently direct employees, participants, parents, and spectators.
- Strong leadership and organizations skills.
- A valid Illinois driver's license is necessary.
- CPR and First Aid certification will be required and provided.
- Must successfully pass a post offer drug test and driver's abstract.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Minimum Age: 18
