Job description

GEODynamics in Millsap, TX is looking for qualified candidates for Machine Operator Lead. Our campus is on the frontage road of Interstate 20 near Millsap, TX. Located west of Fort Worth, it is an easy commute from surrounding communities of Weatherford, Stephenville, Mineral Wells and Aledo.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Sets up and operates numerically controlled equipment to perform machining operations, such as turning, boring, facing and threading parts.
  • Addresses operational issues to ensure machine efficiencies and production levels are achieved.
  • Performs various quality checks and assists in the preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintains an accurate inventory through activities such as: proper reporting of material usage, minimizing wastes, and ensuring that measuring devices are properly calibrated.
  • Accurately completes al paperwork and/or data entry to support job tasks.
  • Ensures good housekeeping of all work areas.
  • Practice safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and GEO-specific Health and Safety expectations.
  • Follows all plant policies and practices to ensure safety, quality, service, and cost objectives are met.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills/Knowledge:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency.
  • 2 -3 years of experience in manufacturing or machining environment.
  • Some experience as team lead supervising in machine shop operations, preferred.
  • Ability to safely perform related physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed project expectations.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook).

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely perform related physical demands of the role:
    • Bending, lifting, stooping, pushing, pulling and standing greater than 50% of the time

  • Repetitive motion demands
    • Hands/wrist/shoulder and gripping

  • Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds as needed. Over 50 pounds requires team lift.

Work Environment/Environmental Conditions:
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures
  • Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, fumes, and gases
  • Walking surfaces: Outdoor areas ramps and rough/uneven terrain
