Schedule: Part-time (Based on business needs, usually weekends with occasional weekdays)

Job Overview:

Sweet Tee’s provides catering services for various special events. From Wedding Receptions to Birthday Celebrations and Corporate Events. We are looking to hire a talented and reliable Line Cook to join our existing team. The Line Cook is expected to work closely with our Head Chef at our commercial kitchen located in Orange, New Jersey. This is a 1099 employee position that is expected to have availability based on business needs. If you're hard-working and dedicated, Sweet Tee’s Catering LLC is an ideal company for you.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, and mixing ingredients

  • Perform portion control and minimize waste to keep costs within the forecasted range

  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner by restocking ingredients at work station and meeting prep times to ensure smooth delivery

  • Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products

  • Maintain a clean workstation area, including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelves

  • Comply with applicable sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the line supervisor, sous-chef, or executive chef

  • Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.

  • Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • ServSafe Certification

  • 1-2 years of experience as a line cook

  • Understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skills

  • Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
